June: Faith That Starts Where I Am

Published June 1st, 2025 by The Great I AM Faith Center

Key Scripture: Mark 9:23–24; Hebrews 11:1

Summer brings fresh starts—graduations, new schedules, travel plans. Yet many of us carry unfinished business: a prayer not yet answered, a door not yet opened, a habit not yet broken. Real faith doesn’t pretend those gaps aren’t there. Real faith meets God right where we are and lets Him lead us forward

When the desperate father cried, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” he wasn’t disqualified—he was honest. That honesty became the doorway for a miracle. Faith is not denial; faith is agreement with God in the middle of reality. Hebrews 11:1 calls faith “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Substance and evidence aren’t feelings; they’re spiritual realities anchored in God’s character, not our circumstances.

Three truths to anchor your June:

  1. Faith looks up before it looks out. Before scanning for answers, set your gaze on the Answerer. Worship recenters your soul on Who God is—faithful, wise, and good.
  2. Faith speaks what God says. The Word of God is not wishful thinking; it’s covenant truth. Let Scripture shape your vocabulary—especially when emotions are loud.
  3. Faith takes today’s step. You don’t need the blueprint for the whole summer. Obey the next instruction: make the call, submit the application, forgive the person, sow the seed.

Live It This Week:

  • Start each day with a simple confession: “Father, I trust You today. Order my steps.”
  • Choose one promise from Scripture and declare it aloud for seven days.
  • Do one obedient action you’ve been postponing.

Reflection Questions:

  • Where am I tempted to wait for perfect conditions before obeying?
  • Which attribute of God (faithful, provider, healer, shepherd) do I need to meditate on this week?

Prayer:

Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief. Meet me where I am and lead me in Your truth. I choose Your Word over my worries, and I will take the step You show me today. In Jesus’ name, amen
